You can’t and don’t need to replace Reddit. The way Lemmy is built will make it a much more viable and trusted platform for the long term.
That’s a fair point, the script is just there to get and chmod the latest AppImage snapshot, verify the checksum … regular download is always available.
Just tried it, it’s great, congratulations to its author. Really nice to be able to save the blacklist, a cool improvement would be the ability to have multiple config profiles.
