oh i see you have connections in latin america, i would buy too if it supports restorative justice: https://www.justiciajuvenil.org.bo/qalauma/
Si por supuesto, y si tienes alguna idea para un mensage nos lo dices, tambien si quieres te podemos hacer una entre vista para nuestro video cast de hacker anarquistas llamado Hackerñol - https://kolektiva.media/video-channels/hackernol/videos
I’ll admit I haven’t heard of hispagatos before so I don’t want to immediately jump to judgement and will check out some of their blog posts and stuff (to hopefully brush up on my spanish if nothing else).
But I will say it’s not really a great look having my first contact with an “anarchist hacker collective” being a shopify shop selling t-shirts/hats/etc with no information about sourcing and a link to a blog where the most recent post is supporting them by mining cryptocurrency.
Edit: after checking out some of the blog posts, I see they espouse a lot of good ideals and principles. I’m very slow at reading spanish so I haven’t had a great overview yet, but I am heartened to see what appears to be some good content.
I still have some questions about the discrepancy between the content of the blog and “visit our shopify store,” but I guess I can understand from a practical standpoint that money is generally required to further an organization’s goals.
Hello, yes, unfortunately one of our members created it on shopify to “test” we were not 100% yet, and now we just decided to use it until we can install an opensource store like https://woocommerce.com/ or similar that we can host it ourself. is a chiken-egg problem, we need some donations to get the server running to add the open/libre store.
oh BTW and thanks for your edits, know we always choose libre/free and hacker ethical ways, we are new on this having a “store” but we working on it to be able to migrate to a 100% libre option.
I’d like to know if it is union made, or if it’s possible to have it union made.
Unfortunately I don’t think they are, but we working on this, even if it cost a bit more.
now we just wait for about 2 days before someone inevitably makes a arch fork but with anarchy theming :)
lol
Hello really cool you setup a shop, though like it’s been said it’s really expensive despite providing very bad conditions for workers. Would be really cool to partner up with some DIY screenprinting collectives :)
cool to see anarchohackers from hispagatos around here. we had discussion about setting up an anarchist instance of lemmy, in case you are interested
PS: tried to join your matrix chan but no idea why it didn’t work. Does it require account on hispagatos.org? Or maybe i’m just doing the matrix chan URL wrong (seriously what’s up with matrix URLs using “:” for server location???)
Also i really love to see anarchohackers on the fediverse. I remember lurking on /r/anarcho_hackers (maybe i even posted once) but i felt really incomfortable with using reddit for anarchist organizing… do you know of other anarchist collective spaces online which are not dedicated to a specific collective but rather inter-collective/individual discussions? should we make one? :)
Thanks, and yes we always use libre software as much as we can, we do not even use youtube for our anarchist hacker video shows, we use libre software, we were on lemmy since the start, and on peertube since day 1 on not even alpha status… same with gnustatus and later mastodon, matrix etc… about an anarchist topic lemmy that will be nice, but I think there is a german one already that is antifa and anarchist, and some other people here in this forum were speaking on creating one. so lets not divide but unite, if we want to make one lets do it all together :)

yes lemmy.161.social but i couldn’t find info on what collective operates it. DNS/mail is gandi and A/AAAA is Hetzner so i’m not really confident it’s run by more than one individual and will still be around 5 years from now. i’m afraid the same kind of stuff will happen like it did with mastodon, that a lot of people start selfhosting because it’s fun and a couple years later most servers have closed because it’s exhausting responsibilities. so i’m glad that instance is around but i’m one of those people on here pushing for an anarchist collectively-operated instance.
if your collective or another collective you know could provide a VM for that (or just shared hosting shell account with a reverse proxy) please let us know. i’d be tempted to do it on ~fr VPS but i’m not the sysadmin of the dedicated server so i wouldn’t be the “person” receiving legal threats and other identification requests, so i don’t want to host a “public” service on there and get ~team admin into more stress :) i understand if that’s the case on your side as well
Hello, thanks, and yes we are working on moving away from shoppify and making more anarchist hacker themed designs… my graff art days are comming to be productive lol. About Matrix, sorry to hear, in our server we host lot of channels but the one private for our internal chat is non-federated/invite only you do need to be on our server, reason is we do not want our conversations to go into other server logs/admins… if you need access let me know we wrote a alternative login portal.
Oh sorry i didn’t know! I don’t even know where i found the address but well… i’m just surprised gomuks isn’t capable to produce an error when it can’t connect to the chan. Is there some other public chans where you folks hang around? Either for generic anarchist conversations or for militant free-software hacking / selfhosting? Feel free to not answer if you feel like my question is sketchy #securityculture ;) we got a few small-scale chans on ~chat IRC and Jabber/XMPP but i feel like there’s a lot more anarchists around we’re not in touch with yet, our chans are public maybe even logged so ofc nicknames/tor is welcome and we don’t discourage talking about direct action but mostly self-defense, popular education, mutual aid and such… feel free to join with a few comrades of yours if you feel like it, maybe some cool projects/people could meet who knows
