Also i really love to see anarchohackers on the fediverse. I remember lurking on /r/anarcho_hackers (maybe i even posted once) but i felt really incomfortable with using reddit for anarchist organizing… do you know of other anarchist collective spaces online which are not dedicated to a specific collective but rather inter-collective/individual discussions? should we make one? :)

Thanks, and yes we always use libre software as much as we can, we do not even use youtube for our anarchist hacker video shows, we use libre software, we were on lemmy since the start, and on peertube since day 1 on not even alpha status… same with gnustatus and later mastodon, matrix etc… about an anarchist topic lemmy that will be nice, but I think there is a german one already that is antifa and anarchist, and some other people here in this forum were speaking on creating one. so lets not divide but unite, if we want to make one lets do it all together :)

yes lemmy.161.social but i couldn’t find info on what collective operates it. DNS/mail is gandi and A/AAAA is Hetzner so i’m not really confident it’s run by more than one individual and will still be around 5 years from now. i’m afraid the same kind of stuff will happen like it did with mastodon, that a lot of people start selfhosting because it’s fun and a couple years later most servers have closed because it’s exhausting responsibilities. so i’m glad that instance is around but i’m one of those people on here pushing for an anarchist collectively-operated instance.

if your collective or another collective you know could provide a VM for that (or just shared hosting shell account with a reverse proxy) please let us know. i’d be tempted to do it on ~fr VPS but i’m not the sysadmin of the dedicated server so i wouldn’t be the “person” receiving legal threats and other identification requests, so i don’t want to host a “public” service on there and get ~team admin into more stress :) i understand if that’s the case on your side as well
