This is a great representation of how USA sees foreigners for sure. I am just worried upon being shown this some big brained US apologists will accuse you of cherry picking because in 10% of pop media, extra terrestrials aren’t shown as abominable monsters.
I can’t think of anything besides star trek and the day the earth stood still, that isn’t xenophobic.

Pry not, the only “others” encountered in the alien universe are incredibly hostile… aliens, predators, androids (excepting aliens bishop), founders. Aliens also is a dystopian future where a single corporation, weyland-utani, has complete control over space travel, the military, law, economy… but luckily we see them through the eyes of the prole worker-fodder they exploit.
Interestingly enough Gene Roddenberry was someone hopeful for a future peace, a world not held down by national petty dogmas and exploitative production, and of course money is no more. So of the few positive visions of the future by the US, it is represented in a society that’s definitely not capitalistic.

The first, third, and fifth are the Predator, the Alien (or more specifically the Xenomorph), and the Thing from the movies of the same name, respectively.
I think 8th is the fly, 9th is another alien (maybe resurrection?).
This is partly a result of profit oriented Hollywood, vs the more unconstrained artistic expression of the USSR. It’s easier to sell fear.
Looking at SF books in the US we start skewing a little bit more towards the hopeful. While still not great, book publishers are more willing than Hollywood to publish a bit more diverse stuff than just the easiest sell. Still, a lot is fearful garbage, just a bit less bad than Hollywood.
