Thats me, but not because I’m a nerd, but because I’m depressed!

And all the complaining of gay charactets. No. Not everyone is gay in the show. Just cause there’s 3 or 4 gay characters outta 10 doesnt mean everyone was gay.

Fuck… Nerds need to be sentenced to hard labor.

I have a feeling that the nerds complaining about all of the above were never actually Sandman fans before the TV series. Just dicks barging in from other corners of comic nerd subculture.

There’s no way someone who was a genuine fan of the comics would be surprised at how gay it is. It was pushing the boundaries back when Gaiman wrote it and the reason changes were made for the adaptation is because it’s been 30 years and the boundaries have been successfully pushed. I doubt any of the people removed about it were even alive when the comics came out.

That’s what kills me about the whole thing. It’s comic accurate but also extremely modernized. Old school Sandman is quaint compared to modern social relations.

And ya know… The fact that anyone would actually be upset that a show would be very very gay is hogwash. These weird reactionary nerds dont HAVE to take issue with these slight changes as they do. Sandman was never about a frozen moment in time and thought and culture.

People literally can not cope with the idea that gay people and POC exist.

Casting a Black woman as Death is like… The most theater thing you could do and I think the show is better with its deliberate diversity.

Im so fucking done with plebeians being upset that artists want to put diversity into their work. If diversity is pandering, then so is a near total cishet white casting and these people wouldnt know authentic art if it put on cheap lipstick and rimmed them.

Nah too late, i am serial nerd.

Not about the sandman though. I think Gaiman is just a pale shadow of Terry Pratchett without even a shred of what made Terry great.
