So China is having none of America’s shit anymore. I wonder how much longer China will trade with America for.
This article is the most stern of warnings calling the US out for what it is; a provocative, senile fool. This article writes scathingly to the “independence forces” of Taiwan. Calling them out for their insistence on Pelosi’s visit. China has every right to be making these kinds of statements. Are these the death throes of the American empire?
The PLA will be conducting bombing exercises around the waters of the island, definitively proving areal and naval superiority.
Here is the webpage with live updates on the situation: https://www.globaltimes.cn/special-coverage/Tensions-rise-over-Taiwan-visit-of-Pelosi-Timeline.html
I mean, yeah. The US is led by warmongering, senile, old fools. So it shouldn’t really surprise anything they do this shit. Especially when their power is declining.
I’m just glad that China is stepping to the plate. That they have enough confidence and sense to make a point to the Americans, that the lying jig is up! I hope more people can come to see that siding with the US is a fanatical act.
Yes, my country thinks war is a good thing. Ever since WW2, it has been seen as something that makes us stronger. The people here don’t know what war is, though. We haven’t had to face war at home for over a hundred years, so it’s some distant thing that we send our children to do as a rite of passage almost. And now, even our leadership has bought into our propaganda and think they’ll never be in danger.

I don’t think the CPC actually expects Amerika to pay any of that debt

I don’t really understand why countries would willingly buy IOUs from Amerika, though. I’ve listened to a few of Michael Hudson’s lectures and interviews but I should revisit his work

Right, it would have to be through some kind of coercion at this point. So in China’s case, it’s mostly about retaining (safe) access to trade routes?

That makes sense. I had heard that the “opening up” was mainly to avoid “antagonizing” Amerika while China was weak, as well as to industrialize quickly; that Deng excerpt has some further interesting details.

Frankly, no matter what they agreed upon, Amerika isn’t known for following rules unless it benefits them. Based on how they’ve reacted to the sanctions on Russia, most of Amerika’s “allies” will likely be willing to go along with this and sever all ties with China

Hopefully Europe will brake right before Amerika drives off a cliff

They think they can do whatever they want without consequences. Largely because they’ve never suffered any consequences in their lifetime. It’s going to be a rude awakening.
True that
Yes and yes. War and profiting off war is the last unchallenged advantage the US believes it has, and realizes time to use this advantage is limited.
What I don’t get is how the US plans to address logistics issues in any sort of war and economic ones since so much comes in from CN.
They don’t plan. That much has become clear.

This is the explanation that makes the most sense, but its just bizarre to me. If it works I suppose.
The US doesn’t gave much time anymore to do so. That’s why they’re provoking armed conflict now.
Yes, we must go to war because war is profitable. That’s why war with someone is inevitable.
