I want to get a microSD for my phone, and will probably need to get more external storage in the near future, but would like to avoid big stores (especially Amazon).

    If you have a microcenter near you, they have the best prices on flash memory around, including SD cards. It’s still a chain, but a smaller one with a little more geek cred

    There are only a few actual flash manufacturers and of those the ones with first party brand name SD cards are Crucial, Sandisk, and Samsung. and Kioxia. Most of them have their own online stores you can buy direct from, like this.
