    For me it’s currently Kotlin. Open source (which IMO is non-negotiable for programming languages), good balance of performance and ease of development, supports both Object Oriented and functional paradigms, and has a version that is interoperable with Java and therefore has access to a massive selection of third party libraries (with more native third party libraries being added by the day). I think it’s perfect if you’re making a higher level program like an app or a website.
