I don’t know if someone has asked this questions here, but how will the communities work in terms of federation. Let’s say we have /c/privacy here and someone on x server decides to create a community with the same. How will that work?

    I get it. So…completely different communities with different set of rules and user from x instance can post in communities form y instance, if the rules allow them to. And if the mods feel like, they can delete communities from their instance. Right?

      Yes. That’s simple enough. If you’re worried about deleting a community by an abusive moderator, I’m not sure what’s the best to be done against that. We’re all people at the end, if one does not like someone’s policy, he/she can create their own community or even start another Lemmy node.
