Can’t wait for the “Ukraine good, Putin evil” crowd to switch their narrative consensus to “we were against the war from the beginning”.

Why would they do that? Most American liberals don’t even genuinely feel they should not have invaded Iraq and Afghanistan. They just feel they kinda “bungled” the whole process.

The “bungling” they would talk about this time would be “being tricked into supporting an authoritarian dictator” they’ll portray it as them being noble and brave and trying to save someone, but being tricked because the guy was actually a bad guy.

So they wouldn’t ever admit the war was amoral or for profit, just that they were fooled by a baddie into fighting the war. 100% blameless west.

Eh, even the “we totally opposed the war in Iraq, you guise” crowd still piles shit on Saddam. Best bet it would be similar. “OH we are totally against US interventions and we agree USA isn’t perfect and all, but don’t you agree Putin is evil

Why wouldn’t they think Putin is evil? The news tells them that Putin is trying to murder his political opponents (Navalny)

Just “authoritarian traits” sounds like a total understatement.

They’ve been transitioning to scapegoating them for a while now. Blaming them for nordstream, a gradual increase of articles in MSM that are at least passingly critical of Ukraine and/or Ukraine’s chances of winning the war. They can’t do it too quickly or it would be just a little bit too obvious.

In a few years we will be reading about how nobody could have seen the fascist elements taking control, and how ever could that have happened. Wouldn’t be surprised if some kind of task force were assembled to liberate Ukrainian oil reser-I mean, bring democracy to the people of Ukraine.

Took them long enough, Zelensky’s been arresting opposition and banning strikes since the beginning. Now that he’s suspended elections it’s become even clearer that Ukraine is a fascist state.

Probably, CIA might kill him to create a martyr to stoke westerners war fervor and prolong the war. Also he would be super convenient scapegoat after war and those tend to be first unalived so they cannot defend.

Or he might be killed by Svoboda et consortes for various reasons.

Ooh, I called it! He’ll be another Asiatic ebil dictatoe that tricked the good wholesome chungus west into supporting him very soon.

I look forward to all the slobber zucchini libs insisting that they never supported him and always knew he was “one of the bad ones.”

For the other liberals reading, this is a Western source saying this, not us complaining.

Maybe take a closer look at your home country to see if it’s authoritarian too before you throw that word around.

Once the war is finished Ukraine will have gained knowledge and experience for the current times enabling them to be a role model even for germany.

Role model of what? Getting nazi coup, losing at least quarter of territory, being sold for peanuts to its western allies, plus some fine details like drastic rise of birth deffects due to depleted uranium ammo and cluster mines everywhere?
