I disagree. Making anorexic or obese people feel comfortable about their laziness or a bad eating trend follow is wrong, and affects the society. Calling bodyshaming bad is incredibly individualistic and very far from what a leftist should root for – society before individual selfishness.

I agree. While bodyshaming is indeed bad, most of what is classified as body shaming is not really bodyshaming.

People defend bad health habits that affects everyone around them, and when they are caught doing this, they deflect it onto an abstraction of “bodyshaming” word. I absolutely despise these wordsmith weasels.

Partially agreed. The “shaming” should be limited to people that are actively responsible for their condition. Not the one born with natural conditions like shortness, handicapped etc

Nobody sane will ever want to shame disabled or unfortunate people. I doubt anyone does it. However, the problem is that these junk food guzzlers purposely deflect all legitimate criticism onto an abstraction of the word. These people are so insane, they act proud regarding their obesity and carefree bingeing life. They must not be allowed to hide in the veil of disabled people.

Moreover, these people are sometimes even okay with getting thyroid and gastritis problems at early age, just for pleasure. This is not a culture or mindset that should be allowed to flourish for the sake of future generations, and all that is left of current ones.

I think your point is wrong, but also you know that this also factors in people who miss a leg, short men, manly looking women etc… Traits that people can’t change.

No, this does not factor physically handicapped or disabled people. It precisely factors the obese women who cannot stop eating their pizzas and Coke and ice cream tubs all day while watching Netflix, or brainwashed anorexic women who want to do webcam shows or modelling.

Go check out some mukbangers and see this acceptance BS culture yourself.

Edit: I seem to have defined these 4 downvoters’ lives, not sorry, stay mad

Unfortunately nobody cares about short men.

When people say “bodyshaming”, it’s almost always related to obesity.
