And remember, these are worn out tires. Tires are like the erasers on a pencil, rub, rub, rub. They leave tons of rubber and chemicals on the surface of ever kilometer of road they travel.

The middle photo is almost pleasing in its tidiness, except for that whole “made of tires” thing. Like an army of tires in neat formation.
Seems like we could require the manufacturers to do more on the disposal/recycling bit.
This is ridiculous. I know some are recycled, but shouldn’t we do more?
Is burning them not an option?
Open air burning pollutes the air. Oxygen enriched burning in a sealed chamber with posttreatment, like they do in waste to energy plants, is expensive, and a less developed country may not have the money to build such a system.
