im really tempted to quit my job and make this thing that has no potential for income.

50% of it is dissatisfaction with my day job. It pays the bills but i spend all of my time cleaning up after devs that are long gone.

50% is i want this project idea to exist. honestly i just want to make things. i dont remember the last time i just made a thing.

I’ve been procrastinating every day staring the roof. Neither do I have any project to show to employer, nor did I prepare for any coding round. Haven’t applied anywhere, be it internship or full-time, because I am so exhausted, I don’t feel like doing anything.

Just remember that starting a new project is always the fun part. Think we’ve all got a mountain of unfinished projects that we’ve been meaning to return to.

Coding for a corporate where you don’t actually make a useful thing and every line of code only serves the purpose of making more profits is the most soul crushing shit ever

At least in retail I helped customers check out that cute crop top they wanted to wear

Quit and go make that thing

based asl. quit & do what you want. make an actual difference in the world & have fun doing it. or keep your job to stay alive & start working on it as a side project. thats like the sensible advice I suppose.
