    Wait, seriously? Is there an actual car that runs Windows?! I thought vehicles as a rule use hard real-time operating systems to avoid scheduling conflicts between a critical process and an auxiliary process.

          Nah. There are devices on the market that specifically market that their processor is compatible with embedded Windows. It’s a specific version of Windows iirc

            Yeah, at a previous job, we had hand scanners with embedded Windows on them. It looked like Windows 98 and might even have been a fork from it. I definitely couldn’t imagine a modern Windows running on those low-powered devices.
