I don’t mean to be pessimistic, bit since most subreddits are only going dark for a couple days, the site will basically be back to normal soon. I wonder how many users here are only here because of temporary outrage and not because they actually prefer Lemmy. I’m curious about people’s outlook on this situation.

    Many contributers contribute so they see the number of their post go up. I assume most of these people like the number more than they care about moral issues.

    So I think that many will go back/stay at reddit, since it gives bigger numbers. However, I’d much rather have content that arrives here, because the people that will make content here are just better people, so I’m sure I will like the content more.
