prior to reddit itself collapsing i deleted my account which had iirc over a million karma due to a mental breakdown, so the loss has already been tempered somewhat. my current reddit is at like 300k or so, i’m trying to decide if it’s worth scraping and backing up all my comments - i do like my writing but how much actual use will the backup have

it just feels weird and sad - we always think ‘the internet is forever’ but in a much more real way, the internet is temporary. this ‘community’ which feels very new and cool and vintage is just 1s and 0s that some dipshit could buy as well…
