Every 3-4 months i lurk back into my country subreddit, oh boy each and every time i get more disappointed.

I got downvoted into oblivion for stating that there is no way that raw resources cost more than their processed products.

Why does stating something a elementary school kid know gets hate? Because media has made them believe that its more profitable to sell raw petrol instead of refining it 😅 back when the mexican president invested into building a refinery.

So you’re telling me that our benevolent overlords aren’t making a loss for the good of everyone? Sacrilege!

When liberals and fascists talk about leftist being hateful and full of resentment, it’s literally pure projection.

For what it’s worth: our party just rose to 12,4% of votes in a recent poll. One in eight people is on that commie shit.

Dooming pretty hard right now. As I “reintegrate” more into society after the beginning of the pandemic the more I am just faced with an onslaught of liberal ideology and propaganda that is almost unbearable. Don’t understand how the absolute catastrophe that took place in the US didn’t break the bubble for more people, makes me fearful that the capitalists are just too good at controlling thought and discourse.

DAE feel like your experience ~during the pandemic~ took decades off of your life through an onslaught of sheer psychic damage 🤯 (but feel it’s kinda treated as blasé to discuss this anymore)?

< sicko mode, absolutely unhinged >

I feel you, though. I worked in the healthcare industry throughout the pandemic and hahaha, HAHAHA however bad anyone thinks healthcare (for the poors) is here, just holy fucking shit. It’s worse than you can imagine unless you’ve seen it.

I had a few breaking points. People I cared for (in the professional and personal senses) died and it was treated as an emotional occupational hazard, “these things happen.” FUCK YOU! Motherfucking managers keeping track of profits occasionally side-eyeing the everpiling coffins of those they’re supposed to care for and only wondering about how much the funeral’s going to cost and how much they might recuperate from a memorial fund, just fuck.

Worked in a pharmacy for a bit, too. Mfw the entire fucking world has collapsed (pestilence and now war!) and I have to explain to this 25 year old that I’m so sorry but your insulin is ringing up as $1500 for just this 1 month’s supply? Is that normal? Oh, it is normal. Uh, sorry you randomly drew a $1500 monthly alive tax, fuck.

Btw you should know I was touchin your fuckin’ pills w/o gloves with my snotty little hands. A few of your pills fell on the floor? Sorry bud, I’ve got 300 other orders to fill in the next 3 hours and fuck you if you think I’m going to open a whole new bottle just for you. It’s all so fucking inefficient, so dirty, so cruel, yet there somehow exists a chain of command of people who somehow fucking believe in it (insofar as it can fatten their goddamn wallets and somehow all of your coworkers believe in it and they think it’s totally fucking normal to be prescribed extra strength adderall so they can go to work and school at the same time full-time dude WHAT THE FUCK??

I do not know of any great advice. I share in your struggle, though, as do many others. Modern liberals have fully embraced a politicized apathy and it’s so defeating to try to deal with. How the fuck did no one learn a damned thing?

Well, the important thing is that some of us did I guess. Many of us. Many, I’d wager, are on the verge of complete radicalization but yet lack the coherent enough ideological foundation to express it. Many more… are probably more than content to know absolutely nothing and believe absofuckinglutelyeverything. Just following orders. 🫡

          Thank you comrade.

One of the most jarring things was hearing from people close to me that we were lucky, that nobody (we) knew had died or gotten really ill - these were my friends and they were unaware of the connection I had to the people under my care, so I don’t blame them. “Oh right, your residents”.

I miss them. The idea that it’s just the way it is, just a hazard of the workplace - no. I did not work in hospice care. People got covid and they died, painfully, because the scum behind the industry found out that their profit margins couldn’t sustain safety for more than a couple of months without dipping 0.1% or whatever and the state did nothing, absolutely nothing to save these people’s lives.

Life goes on. Just the way it is. 🫠

Same, even my local “cultural aggregation center” which is pretty decent and does lords work in term of helping people in need, is full to the brink with liberalesque and europeist ideology and straight up propaganda, it’s not a case that it’s directly financed by the city. I haven’t tested the waters yet but I suspect most people are shit libs, it’s just sad

So, I have been trying to scratch a SciFi itch for quite some time, and I finally broke down and started watching Babbalon 5, it is the pure essence of the world will end before capitalism thinking, it feels like they are trying to fraim it as “look how far we have come” but all I see is absolutly nothing has changed.

Huh. I’ve largely heard positive things about Babylon. How it has an arc across multiple seasons and all. What makes it a “world will end before capitalism”?

      • Well a few things, first its in the 23rd century, and still VERY capitalist, of the main 5 nations talked about I know for a fact 3 of them capitalists. of the remaining 2 their entire plot point is that they are secretive and no one knows what they want, and the other has a cast system with a religious, warior and the Wiki says worker but I have yet to see it in the show because I am early on, but they are still a maybe.

For one of the 3 I can confirm I dont know much about their society or economy so I will not say much,

The second I know still has slavery, and is otherwise a dieing empire, though they call it a republic yet its very clearly based on the roman empire.

The 3rd is the humans, this is where I have found the most amount. First as far as I can tell its as if the United States annexed the rest of the world then abolished the house of representatives, and the US has not fixed any of its problems instead activly making it worse, in one episode its mentioned a doctor providing free medical care is illegal, I cannot stress enough that this is the 23rd century on a Space Station, and there are slums, and homeless people, but it is never shown as a “bad” thing but as a fact of life, and there are mentions of just exicuting all the poors as a way to lower crime. and please note, that the humans do not have any “free air”/“free soil” laws that automaticly free slaves when they enter their territory or space stations, and are willing to hold diplomatic relations with said nation, without bringing this point up, it was almost brought up like a throw away plot point.

There are large corperations that are given near governmental powers or greater.

My final gripe needs a direct comparison to DS9, both of them had a Unionism episode, where workers where pushed to the breaking point, both of them the strike was technically illegal, in DS9 the Union and the men in the Union where the Heros, as they “Where more than heros [they] where union [men]” and they had “Nothing to lose but there chains” the fact it was illegal was used to set the stakes, in B5 the union is there, and they mention multiple times that it is an illegal strike as a way to disparage the strike, the hero is the commander of the station for generously lessening his budget to give a minimal increase on the prevision they would start work immediately, there was no proper negotiations it was take it or everyone arrested, and the Union was a villan all be it the more sympathetic one of the 2 in the episode, where the correct answer was the middle, that more helps capital.

Something funny is going on in Mexico.

One big bank is in talks to get bought by a bigger group, as always media is spreading fake news and mentioned that the deal failed, so in press the mexican president mentioned that it was a lie and they’re still on talks but he then mentioned that if the deal fails maybe there would be a possibility to nationalize that bank.

Now media says that ‘the mexican president wants to nationalize the bank!’, and every old conservative that thinks mexico is a communist state goes to withdraw their deposits LMAO.

Dude could cause a bank run with that simple statement, thanks to the old dumbasses that live on red scare paranoia LOL. I dont think this was planned at all just something funny that is going on.

Reporting back from the 26th of may general strike:

Comrades, I went, along with about 100 other comrades, at the entrance of the education ministry (miur), we had about 10 brief interventions from comrades that spoke about various issues, there was no repression aside from 3 cop vans and full dredged riot cops at the entrance, but that’s to be expected and they didn’t dare to fight us, we demonstrated our strength and many people assisted

    Ora e sempre resistenza! 💪✊
