But, are there tech companies located there - servers maybe? The Durovs do NOT have Telegram based there - which I found telling. I think Telegram is in Germany and in another country.
And, would the server connection be fast enough? I am using a provider in Switzerland right now for Nextcloud and syncing is a problem (it could be from something else, though) and slowness because of distance may be the reason.

I have heard Signal or Session is better. but, Telegram does have groups a bit like a social media network - I think the other two I mentioned don’t.
