While also the olds rant about how “safer” everything was back in their day (the old “just leave doors unlocked”). Or how “people knew how to show respect.” Yet they want to disrespect and even hunt down anyone that is LGBTQIA+ or just different. Always making demands that anyone younger than them is automatically stupid (unless the younger folks agree with them and/or are “a good one”).

I personally love to not back down when my uncle or really anyone wants to try and act like shit wasn’t violent or dangerous back in the day. The most prolific serial killers were active or getting started when Boomers were coming up. Also that they were much more exposed to lead in basically everything. And of course not to forget all of the violence against POC just trying to get some of that “respect” and “safety” by pushing for basic civil rights.

We just get a much higher influx of for-profit media outlets that claim to be “news” constantly trying to push only violent shit for ratings. Makes every second of every day seem like nowhere is “safe” and to call the pigs over anything and everything. But yeah, it is the younger folks that are “too soft.” lol
