Not wrong. Over the past couple of years KDE has really improved and is just as light as XFCE if not more. As good as XFCE is I always tend to go back to KDE because not only is it light but its very optimized and i tend to get better battery life on it compared to XFCE
I’d be really interested to figure out how many active devs are working on these vms, not that it necessarily makes one better than the other, but it seems like KDE has a lot more work put into it than a lot of others.
I recently decided to give KDE a try after running minimal setups with WMs like bspwm. I gotta say, it’s very pleasant. I’ve probably used XFCE the most because I always used low resource computers no one else wanted. I think it all depends on what you want to do or what is comfortable. They’re all very good, everyone does such a great job developing all this stuff. I’m very grateful there are people like that in this world! =]
Ya its delightful now. I remember even a few years back trying it, it was a beast, even slower than unity / gnome. Now its super fast, and prettier than any of them.
Probably kde, it sounds wrong but kde plasma is just as light as XFCE nowadays.
