That’s good to hear!
On iOS I’m using Mlem, but I’m so happy to see more apps being built! :)
I noticed this yesterday! I kinda like the new changes!
Just keep HODLing and you’ll be fine. It’s a long term game
Feds are raising rates again.
I’ll give it a shot! Thanks for the heads up!
The 2 main things keeping me on X11 is G-sync not working and a sleep bug. I really hope these get fixed soon
Absolutely, just a shame the few people who abused it, ruined it for everyone else
It does yes, but there is no port-forwarding
From a port-forwarding perspective, I’ve heard that Proton VPN is clunky at best. It only works on Windows and the port changes frequently.
Nah, they’re shutting off port-forwarding because there were probably a bunch of users abusing the service and using it to distribute CSAM, and they got tired of having law enforcement at their door. Port-forwarding itself isn’t inherently bad, but when it’s used for that purpose it is.
I agree with @RisingGrace@lemmy.world, it needs to be indefinite for Reddit to actually feel pain. 48 hours does nothing. We all know no matter what Reddit won’t change the API pricing, so to make it actually effective, it should be indefinite AT LEAST until Reddit goes public. That’s where they will truly feel the pain
Little late to the party, but I’ll chime in. I have a 3080, and for the most part, Wayland works, but there are a few problems that keep me from using it as a daily driver. G-Sync doesn’t work at all, and when I put my PC to sleep, upon wake I end up needing to do a full reboot because of severe graphical issues. When it is running though, it’s pretty smooth, with only a few graphical issues here and there. I still daily drive X11 though until the major bugs are fixed.
Honestly, he should just take a break, or look for something more stable. He is definitely capable! But Mlem is a great app! I hope it becomes the Apollo of Lemmy
Bang on. Can’t serve you ads if they can’t control what’s on your screen.
I like the idea of a Slice!
When I was using it, I LOVED Hyprland. It was my most flawless experience with Wayland on an Nvidia GPU. I switched off of it however, because I primarily game on my PC and a lot of games just didn’t work and I did not want to have to figure out how to get them working all the time.
Honestly, just taking a break from social media all together. Reddit was my main source of “media” for the past 7 years. I joined Lemmy to hopefully be a replacement. But it’s nice to just have a cleansing every once in a while :)
Being here so early in the growth of Lemmy is very enjoyable! We get to see all the new communities be created and grow!
I just stick to X11. Everything just works. I’ll switch to Wayland once everything just works as well.
