But why should this be bad? As the comments point out, RISC-V will still be a libre ISA, SiFive did not make libre hardware and there might be a good outcome to this. SiFive has not proven to be of special worth.
I don’t know the answer, but if you look at https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/-/blob/master/metadata/org.scid.android.yml#L96 Build is intentionally disabled. Next step could be looking into the commits affecting that file.

Yes, but back in June 2020 it sent the keys over transport encryption, not inside OMEMO, meaning it was effectively transport encrypted and not E2EE.
I’m asking whether that changed.

However, due to XMPP’s inherent metadata leaks, XMPP should usually not be trusted for private communication. Does anyone have more information on this? I always assumed XMPP to be quite good for private conversations, considering it’s strongly decentralized nature and maturity.

The first sentence struck me also when I read the first part about the “minimizing” and “maximizing” buttons. GNOME has it’s own UX models, and if you try to force different models onto it, of course it’s going to be a bad experience. Also, I think the negativity and dismissiveness is something which is uncalled for. There is a lot to objectively appreciate, even if one doesn’t like it for their own usage, for example that mobile users will quickly feel comfortable or that it is by far the best touchscreen interface.
In my opinion, it is a very good thing to see diversification. GNU was a project to get a fully free operating system, and thanks to that project we have that now. From now there is time to develop new solutions and to choose between them freely. It can, in my opinion, be partly contributed to the FSF and GNU that there are now other solutions like musl, which are also free.
