    I have a single-user pleroma instance that I just set up and following lemmy communities doesn’t work for me. I’ve tried following communities and users and it’s just stuck on “awaiting confirmation,” which I think is supposed to happen automatically. Haven’t had a chance to look into it yet.

    Probably a silly question, but how do we initiate the follow remotely for a community? I’d like to try it.

      If you are using mastodon and want to add !green@lemmy.ml, you enter @green@lemmy.ml into the searchbar. Then you follow as if it was any other mastodon user. Probably similar on other federated platforms.

        Thanks that worked. Thought I had tried that before, but at least is working now.
