    I live in germany and the headline would absolutely apply here. Patrol officers are always out in pairs of two, if there’s a lone one and they want something from you it’s very likely a scam. If someone tells you they’re a civil or investigative officer and but they don’t have their ID already at hand it’s very likely a scam.

      In France, there will be at least four guys, wearing black, no ID, sometimes wearing balaclavas.

      If they try to talk to you instead of just beating or shooting you, you know they are scammers not police.
