What I really hate about this website is their stupidty and cryptofascist tendencies are on full display here but they regularly have “philosophical” articles on their front page so they can pretend to be intellectuals. It is somehow worse than Reddit which is saying a lot.

lemmy.mlwasdeletedCENSORED by the admin there, who said “a major thread 13 days ago makes the current submission a dupe” - despite that the thread 13 days ago was actually about lemmyBB, notlemmy.ml!!1!(there was also another thread linking to the lemmy github back in June, so, arguably maybe it was a dupe by their standards, but still, I think this is an obvious first amendment violation.)
Not going to justify the HN stupidity, but it is my opinion the original poster should have linked joinlemmy.ml, instead of an instance of Lemmy (lemmy.ml). Because the topic of the discussion should be the Lemmy network, rather than the lemmy.ml instance. One should avoid spreading the misconception that Lemmy and lemmy.ml are the same thing.
