Oof, putting someone supporting human rights on the same level as another who wants genocide is certainly a take. Considering the centrist is mostly criticizing the “leftist” kinda proves the point that there’s no such thing as centre.

The most important thing is missing: public ownership over the means of production. All he listed as “Left” can be easily coopted as we can see in the current Democrat party of the US which as we all know is neither Left nor Socialist.

Moved the discussion so far right that “treat people normally” has become far-left in this person’s mind.

Far left: lists all these necessary and non-debateable rights minority groups deserve but still lack.

Centrist: I find your right to abortions and existence debatable, I only subscribe to science which mean that I’m far to privileged to feel the need to engage or learn about your struggle and far to stupid to comprehend the impact that my selfish, callous idiocy has on others struggle to achieve the same rights I was born with. I’m far to egotisical to Google any of these issues because I know I lack the mental faculties to empathise or understand so I hide behind a veneer of rational scientific thought to protect my fragile fascist enabling ego from forces that would upset the status quo in which I thrive.

Far right: I agree with the centrist, you just can’t force these issues on society 😈

And that kids is how libs enable far right extremism and anti science rhetoric and oppression despite claiming to oppose them.

As others have pointed out the arguments he put here aren’t on the same level, but tbf is there anything far left that is comparable to genociding jews? Like the closes thing is shooting fascists which shows how close they’re not.

Nowhere near comparable, but Stalin’s deportations of ethnic groups like the Volga Germans due to their cultural identity. While regrettable, it is nowhere near as repugnant and disgusting as committing genocide.

That’s the thing. These so-called centrists aren’t really centrist, they’re just closer to the center, but still right-leaning. They’re just fed propaganda to make them think they have the moral high ground. If you said this to one of them, they’d respond that killing fascists is just as bad as genociding jews. They believe that statement is moral and right.

Centrists explaining how both sides are equally bad to have a moral high ground (we are talking about a girl getting molested)

In addition to what everybody said here, I find the conclusion ‘Fascism doesn’t work’ to be exceedingly vague at best and a trivialization at worst. At least until the mid 1940s, Fascism accomplished almost exactly what the ruling class wanted it to do: it secured capital, expanded it, and built an empire that could challenge the Soviet Union. It failed to completely destroy the Soviet Union, of course, but it looked like a very real possibility indeed in 1941. Acknowledging that Fascism did not achieve all of its goals is not going to prevent the upper classes from (fully) adopting and institutionalizing neofascism should the status quo prove insufficient; capital must expand by any means necessary.

As for the ‘socialism/communism doesn’t work’ dead horse, I’ve addressed that at length here.

Do not think that by acknowledging your enemies’ strengths that you are praising them.

    “We are open to debate”

Makes a meme shutting down any discussion about such EXTREMIST concepts like… “Black people don’t deserve to die” and “People should be able to identify as whatever gender they want.”

lol almost all those ‘far left’ things are just like basic human rights.

‘We can think for ourselves’. Actually, you can’t.

There isnt any. Feminism doesnt condemn stay at home spouses.

Moderates dont understand feminism and they zero in on those who are rightfully full of rage with the patriarchy bit currently lack the full language of expressing what they mean.

      These “moderates” can get deprogrammed.

Man, I need to do a little rant

I will never understand how the argument that “Socialism and Fascism don’t work”, mate, both work like a charm, if fascism didn’t work, how could Germany stand its ground for years fighting a war against multiple superpowers?. Was France, UK, Poland, and all the others countries cooperative of their regimen. How do you think the concentration camps work by magic?, you don’t know that millions of people were slaved and forced to work until dead to produce tanks, ammunition, and other things. Do you think those appeared spontaneously; out of nowhere, you may say?. No, it required a complex structure and different systems to make that calamity work.

For real mate, if you can think by yourself and have a minimum of knowledge in leadership and work distribution, do you believe that incompetent people can achieve what Nazis achieved. You are not only ignoring historical facts, what you are talking about.

Fascism won the war, they weakened the USSR and let the world at the ill will of the United States. Today we experience the aftermath: global recession, proxies war, the destruction of entire countries and cultures, climate change, exploitation and late stage capitalism. Even thought their countries didn’t survive the war, but their ideology has flourished at a great pace. You are the proof.

And about socialism, well, grab a book once in your life, and read about: how the “Evil communist” found the Concentration camps, how they fought the biggest and bloodiest battles in history, how they fought the strongest and numerous parts of the Nazi army. Or, how the feudal countries that didn’t have enough food to feed their people were able to send humanity to the space, make nuclear plants and even being able to surpass the US in living conditions. Magic I suppose.

    — “Racism cuts both ways, you know, I like science a lot, one of my favorite matter is the animal behavior, like to see how wolves behave with each other, all the alpha and omega dynamic. Dolphins are also really cool, they are really friendly with humans, especially women” — “Have you seen the paint behind you, in the wall, is fantastic, why don’t you turn back for a second”.
