I’ve only been using this keyboard for a day but so far it’s been fully usable for me. It does not have swipe yet but that was not something I’m using.

Yes at the end of the day a lot of what you do on your phone is via the keyboard, so it is good to know this is all pure open source. Strictly speaking you anyway do not want to be typing passwords in and should be using an open source password manager like Bitwarden.

Good to see also the app is available directly from F-Droid or the Google Play Store and there is no dependency on any Google binaries.

Huh, I didn’t know SwiftKey was a Microsoft thing.

This is a really nice keyboard. I wonder how much work implementing “Swype/flow style” input would be.

Edit: AnySoftKeyboard has “gesture typing” which seems okay so far.

Yes Microsoft bought SwiftKey about a year or two back. Think OpenBoard is getting swipe but for now yes there is something (also pretty feature packed I must say). I just like the resizing of the OpenBoard keyboard.

Aaah thanks, default LineageOS Keyboard was driving me crazy, but this one seems way better (only tested it breifly though)

That is good news… more options at least now too.

Yes it’s really solid and I Iike I can size it up a bit.
