Also much easier to learn than I thought. Just half an hour yesterday and half an hour today, and already I can go 20 km/h without a problem, or take tight curves.
niice 👌🏻
is that the v8 or v10?
Its the inmotion v8f.
👌🏻make sure to waterproof it if you’re planning to ride in the rain 😉

no, not really
i ride with a regular summer tire in the rain a lot and never experienced issues, the traction is reduced, yes, so you probably shouldn’t try to do pedal-scraping turns at high speeds, but other than that you’re fine
from the outside perspective i guess it would seem that an EUC is very slippery and unstable, and to some degree that is true, but with a proper tire you can ride on any surface just fine, for example there are winter tires with a lot of threading and spikes that allow you to ride on basically pure ice without any issues)
How do I do that? We get a lot of rain here so it would be very useful.
for most wheels an easy and effective thing you can do is to isolate the areas of the arch above the motor along the seal of the wheel body with something like a butyl braid/cord/tape and isolate the area under the handle with a very strong and sticky tape, something like filament tape (tape reinforced with fiberglass) applied along the seams of the two halves of the wheel body under the handle (also in other places susceptible to water leaking in if possible)
a general next step is to seal the controller, lights, buttons and all other connectors and things that look dangerous inside with a sealant
there may also be some vulnerable components/areas specific to your wheel, for that you may have to search some tutorials on youtube/forumse etc
there are likely local EV shops near you that are doing some sort of waterproofing for a fee, they also can help seal the bearings and the motor and some other useful stuff
Thanks, I will look into that!

So far I only used it in the backyard, but some people looked at it curiously. Others ignored it completely though.
Holy shit I’m jealous. What was the hardest part of starting out?
Just practice to hold your balance really. For me its really similar to riding a bike, except that you control it with your feet.
I am jellyfish jealous. did you have some kind of background with snowboarding or something else balance-heavy?
No, just biking and skiing (and I havent done either of those in years).
They are somewhat self balancing, like a segway. Still difficult but nothing like the difficulty (or fun) of a real unicycle.
i’m actually uncertain about which one is more fun 🤔
I was thinking the same that he must need a snowboard or something heavy board to maintain balance but he did it without it. I also do such things on my snowboard which I had bought on the Thirtytwo coupons sale and it was an amazing deal grab for snowboarding.
Holly shit, I didn’t even know of the existence of this things. It looks like a CD kind of walkman player thingy.
