    I for one like the new name and the rebrand was much needed!
    However I feel that “bridge” feature still doesn’t work half of the time. The gitter connection keeps breaking for me and sometimes I end up talking alone then check the web interface and my messages aren’t there. IRC is constantly disconnecting me and asks me to register my username, why can’t my matrix client handle all of this for me?

    I feel that it’s really close to having a good, functional UX but it constantly falls short somewhere. Though I’m happy to see new UI getting rid of the pointless “recent chats bubble”

    I also really hate this trend of every avatar being a circle. #enoughwiththecirclesalready

    Seems like Matrix is so close to be being great if they can just survive a year or two longer.

      Back when I was a lad profile images were square and we were happy about it.

        The whole UI is rectangular and then there are just random circles — it makes absolutely zero visual sense 😤
