Some Nazi was spamming here last night with revolting pictures and slurs. Hope these fascists get what’s coming to them ASAP.

Ya I saw that shit too. The funny thing is that it was kind of uplifting for me, because it made me realize that as badly as the internet has broken my brain, compared to the freaks posting that, I’m not that far gone. And really the jokes on them, they’re the ones who had to go finding and seeing all those images, then waste all that time spamming out slurs.

Libs pissing and shidding themselves about Biden fist-bumping MBS are a fucking joke. It’s not the weapons the West is selling them that’s problematic, it’s not their genocide in Yemen, not their funding of terrorists, not anything materially that gets them worked up. That’s all good. Just don’t shake his hand while funding mass slaughter. Can’t have that.

Same with the Bolton interview. It’s not the coups that are troubling, it’s him talking about it. And really it was always the same with Trump. He could’ve done all the things he did without much outrage at all - he was just not presidential enough about it.

Something happened in the drug world in my city and there now seems to be a war going on between some gangs. It´s been weeks of shootings, bombs, grenades, stabbings etc. Shit’s wild yo

Antwerp, Europe’s second largest Port City. Together with Rotterdam it’s by far the biggest cocaine hub in Europe.

As far as I know some time ago a load of several hundreds of kg of cocaine got stolen or something and now there is a war. Over ten people have been killed and there’s weekly attacks and shootings happening right now.

Corruption aside the police is always one step behind it seems. There’s one house that has been bombed five times in five weeks and only now have they managed to arrest some 18 year old, low ranked guy. They are mainly useless. There are cameras placed in the bad parts of town but they don’t seem to stop anything lol.

There are talks about sending in the army in the bad parts but I don’t know how serious that option is.

Turns out segregating minorities into ghettos might not be the best option to prevent crime.

    • (This is my understanding of it, but I could be wrong.) It means that Lemmygrad is explicitly refusing all interactions (cross-posts, upvotes, downvotes, etc.) from those instances. Depending on the settings of the individual instance (lemmygrad.ml in this case), either only the explicitly “linked” instances are allowed to interact with lemmygrad.ml, or any instance that isn’t “blocked” is allowed to do so. So lemmygrad.ml is linked to lemmy.ml, mander.xyz, feddit.de, and many others, which means that it allows interaction from at least those instances (and possibly also from instances not on the “blocked” list), but not from the various instances listed on the “blocked” list

As for why they’re blocked: I just had a look at wolfballs.com and it seems to be run by right-wing “trans women are not women” types

In the new episode of Dutch farmers protests: some farmers have now declared an independent Farmers’ Republic lmao.

I don’t know if they’re really serious about it and I’m really curious to see if they are actually going to start a secessionist movement or not.

Outside of leftist circles, when I see complaints about rainbow capitalism I sometimes get the suspicion that they’re complaining about the rainbow part rather than the capitalism and I’m like… 🤔🤔🤔

Honestly, I tend to cut off the folk I know who up rainbow capitalists. Like nah; if it’s okay with a hypothetical queer to just be a marketing demographic that capitalists can exploit the Hallmark Effect on, that’s their prerogative, but I don’t have to up it, or respect a theoretical rainbow capital simp for their self-commodification. I’d much rather the corporations and pigs both get run the fuck out of Pride, for good.

Got a little question that I don’t think deserves its own thread:

So I know there’s plenty of anti-China grifters out there, some of them are occasionally mocked here. What about Ai Weiwei? He used to make rounds in media, with various “performances” - i.e. making a brick out of polluted air. But what is his deal, exactly? Is he just a rando that got hyped up by the media? Or what?

Don’t know that much about him but sounds like he’s part of the “public intellectual” crowd, which is pretty much a liberal fifth column supported by the west. One of the hopes from the democrats in Washington (this was around the Obama and pre-Obama era) was that these elements within the education/media/online sectors would poison the minds of the younger generation, making a full colour revolution and “peaceful” overthrow possible.

Hell, some of these grifters on YT for example are former teachers or CCTV anchors from the mainland. The best part is they all fight for the attention/funding of western groups, so often there will be a dog-eat-dog situation when some of them get too popular and the others start attacking them lol.

Recently some of the ones that now live in the US held some “important meetings/conferences” where they started assigning each other roles within a fictional government called the “New Federal State of China” lmao.

Apparently ML ideology leads to rigid, bureaucratic systems that can’t produce revolutionary masses.

The topic has cooled down now. They seem to be Trotskyists, which is always easier if you’re living in the imperial core in crackerland. Their solution to radical revolution seems to be to just organize, but not in the way other socialist projects did. I think that’s why we see so many successful Trotskyist revolutions.

And it just boils down to: USSR and China bad, wholesome theorist that never contributed to a meaningful revolution good.

Depends on who these historians will be and how well are Western spooks at destroying evidence. Pretty sure we still don’t know the scope of atrocities committed during the Gulf War. Not to mention everything else.
