I’ve always used Ulauncher, which supports extension and Python scripting, and it’s quite good. Albert looks very similar. Ulauncher is fully written in Python, and Albert is qt - I guess it features better performances? Does it offer something different that ulauncher doesn’t have?
I love Albert. I can’t stand the slowness of KDE’s default launcher.
