This is why the fedi is so great. I’ve deleted my Google account and my Facebook is pending deletion. I don’t use much of anything else other than libre stuff. For everything I haven’t found a libre replacement for, I’m going to find a libre replacement. 2020’s going to be a good year for me, in terms of getting myself and others away from spyware.
Agreed, but I hate how western media cant write any article about a topic like this without going all “China evil”. Thats the definition of whataboutism.
I mean, China is sort of objectively evil and they are a huge contributor to the digital dystopia. Whenever you hear it, just take it as a data point that you can deem right or wrong, not as opinion of an entity of a said background (here: western media).
There is no such thing as “objectively evil” in the real world.
