The notion that Poland would be “taking back” that region is absurd considering it was never actually rightfully theirs. It was not given to them as a result of WW1, instead they just decided to invade and take it in 1920 despite it being majority Ukrainian, not Polish. They spent the next 20 years trying to colonize it with Poles, but really all they managed is to place Polish landlords over a Ukrainian majority population. Stalin taking this so-called “Eastern Poland” back into Ukraine/Belarue was the right call.
That being said, i doubt the Poles will have much fun nowadays trying to rule over what can now only be called Banderastan. They will soon be reminded of what exactly the ideological descendants of the OUN-B thinks of Polish people…

It was kinda rightful according to medieval dynastic politics, but once that rubbish were sweeped out in the mill of history, not anymore.
