    I’m still aghast that they let Elon build a single lane tunnel running Teslas in Las Vegas and not, you know, a subway.

    Psst, you can put RGB lighting on subway stations too! And self driving? Metro systems have been doing that since the seventies!

    And then you have to pay higher registration fees because they need to recover what they would earn in petrol tax. Its all a big fucking scam.

    We bought a Tesla. Wish we had subsidies like that in my country instead of a prime minister who takes a lump of coal into parliament.

    Selling cars creates a tax base that generates healthy revenue at minimum expense. Public transit creates minimum revenue at great expense. It’s all about money.

    Public transit can revive suffering areas in a community and trigger the investment that community, but that’s more of a financial gamble.
