Just joined after rif went down. Are there any good videos or tutorials for people new to Lemmy and the fediverse?

    Something to add: Different lemmy communities might be hosted on different servers, like email servers. You can talk to people from different servers pretty much seamlessly

      Another thing I forgot was the three timelines you can see:

      • Subscribed: those are the communities you are following
      • Federated: These are all the posts that a server received from its users and everything from the fediverse
      • Local: These are all the posts from you local instance only.

      Note that apps might call these a little different but you should get the idea.
