Haven’t gone iot with my doorbell yet but have the 8266 lying around. Some day I will have time. The plan is notification on the phones for everyone who isn’t home, and ringing on the speakers all around the house plus pulsating lights.

But regarding your doorbell: maybe there is hope. Which modell, integrated in what system?

Bold of you to assume i am not missing them on purpose.

If someone comes to my house unannounced 99% of the time don’t want to talk to them.

I’m pretty sure you can set certain apps to bypass do not disturb.

Or at least you can (on Android) use Tasker or BuzzKill to do more things with your notifications.
