I’m an old lady in my 60s. I like computers and reading. I putter with computer hardware and try to keep older PCs running well. My father was an electrical engineer and one of the first PC programmers back in the 1970s, so I’ve had access to computers for a long time.

I’m also very politically active and am far left. I was an early member of Food Not Bombs. I worry about the idea I hear often, that “we just have to wait for the Boomers to die off, then progressives will take over!” because I’ve heard it all my life. There are many anti-democratic young people. We need to fight fascism, discrimination, voting rights blocks and disinformation, not wait for boomers to die. Marjorie Green and Matt Gaetz and their ilk aren’t boomers. There’s a fascist born every minute. We need to shout down their perverted view of the world.

I hope to move to Europe when I retire, because I have dual citizenship with an EU country. The only reason I’m not there now is I’m very close to two people who need me local.
