I am. I am thinking about moving over r/EcoMaoism (MZT) subreddit that I have since it will most likely get banned.

Why do you think it will get banned? I’ve been hearing people say this for quite some time now but I don’t see why it would happen now. If that happened, though, it would be very helpful for Lemmy, though, since it will attract many users.

Reddit is planning to IPO soon, so it is likely they will ban many communities to make it friendly to advertising

(However most of the “users” of Reddit are US government bots and the stonk buyers probably won’t realize this until too late)

if all the left moves off reddit i’m not sure how they intend to stay relevant for “advertisers” since right-wing echo chambers tends to get banned by the actual providers regardless of the will by the platform, and it’s already a problem they are trying to deal with; plus i doubt advertisers would be okay with that.

Libs will still be all over reddit, and they’re the cash cow anyway.

with the sudden shift in dictionary (back to its original non-americanized definition). it seems as a lot of “libs” are discovering that the term doesn’t actually apply to them.
