I’ve always wanted to run as many programs as possible that “Give back” to awesome developers who create things. I’ve got a few, but I’m looking for more.

If I can get enough of these idle things, I want to one day create a website where you answer a few basic questions about your OS/Hardware and it suggests which of these you can do based in tiers (i.e. how easy it is to set up, how big of an impact you have).

What are some other ones I could add?

Share bandwidth and storage of some IPFS clusters, like the Pacman.store

You can learn programming or bisecting and bug reporting and do that. You can package software and maintain packages.

Or did you mean passively use your computer? Seeding shows doesn’t help Linux, you should seed Linux ISOs on Torrent instead. Especially when new versions are released or few people seed.

Bandwidth costs a lot. Manpower is nearly invaluable. Donate your free time and help newbies in chatrooms. Ask maintainers of your favourite software about how you can help. Get involved.

I also use some of my spare time to update OpenStreetMap data in my area.

Can’t explain how needed this is. Google maps is hard to compete with cause its gained that initial momentum

      And thanks for your contributions

I also found quite cool spending a bit of my free time on OSM. Is fun, at least for me.
