I’m on Android and currently using:
Jerboa for Lemmy
Official Mastodon app
Fedilab for Friendica
Official Funkwhale app
P2Play for Peertube
I haven’t gotten around to exploring the other fediverse projects yet, but I will.
So what is everyone else using? Any good Android apps I missed? What’s good on iOS? Any good desktop/Windows/Linux/MacOS apps worth checking out?
Any other promising apps in development worth keeping an eye on?
Edit: spelling/formatting
I’ve got two for Lemmy.
mlem is currently being developed for iOS with around ~20 contributors. It’s in early open beta, and I’m psyched because there’s supposed to be a massive update between now and tomorrow.
memmy for iOS looks promising. Really intuitive ‘swipe to upvote/downvote/reply’ feature and browses similarly to Apollo. It’s very barebones right now, the project is just a few days old and there’s one developer (as far as I know).
Same here. I bounce between the two comparing them though I’ve been using memmy more.
Both are solid, if very early, apps.
I’ve been using memmy more too because it’s more compact and the swiping feature is something I enjoy. Though mlem is supposed to have a big update today, so I’m super psyched to see how it’s progressing.
I’m sure many more apps will appear in the coming weeks.
How do you downvote on memmy?
It’s the same as Apollo.
If you swipe right part way, it’ll be an upvote. If you swipe right all the way, it’ll be a downvote.
The color of the arrow will change from Green to Orange when you cross a certain point, and you’ll feel a ‘click’ in the haptics of your phone. Release your swipe to enter your vote.
It’s very intuitive.
I’m not a Memmy user but on wefwef there’s no downvote button, you have to swipe beyond upvote to do so. Maybe it’s similar to Memmy that way.
@pinwurm @toadisattva I wish both of them were avaliable for Android.
Looks like I’ll have to move to iOS.
Memmy should be on Android too, but I’m not sure where to find it.
