    Running Element in a browser on your PinePhone, really? I wonder why that is worth reporting, of course it works. If the cameras work, such applications will work.

    Also I wonder why that post mentions you have to install Element on a webserver yourself, I’m pretty sure you can just use pre-hosted instances like https://app.element.io

      It’s worth reporting because previously the camera usually would just work in a few camera apps like Megapixels, but not in other apps, e.g. in the web browser for Jitsi. I agree that you can most likely just use https://app.element.io and the important part are the env variables in the Firefox launcher + the recent Megi kernel.

      There are also very few web-based chat apps that work well on a mobile display. Most services require you to install the app to access on mobile. (Although you can get the desktop interface by changing your user agent) So sure, it isn’t the most exciting thing but it is cool to know that you can access Matrix from anywhere as long as you have a web browser.
