Judging from the people around me irl, celebrity worship is one of the most destructive facet of the capitalist media. And i’m not telling about the hero worship in general, that can be even beneficial if done right (like in the case of Lei Feng), but the mindless obsessive interest about existence of bunch of worthless parasites who are today celebrities. Sadly especially women are targeted by this. This is turning people brains into mush, like i was flabberghasted by the amount of people literally crying for the fucking queen of some shit island on the other side of continent.
