As long as its CONSENSUAL and there’s no Coercion, that’s one thing. I don’t know if it was or was not but I don’t think it would be worth mentioning otherwise
That’s why I’m asking though, because the way it was phrased was kinda tacked on like an afterthought to the rest of these. It’s a syntactical structure that gives a lot of “guilty by association” vibes. If I were stating that orgies were occurring with not-okay aspects, I’d just say “orgies some participants felt forced into” or something along those vibes.
The clarification would help me to understand the situation better and provide a lot of context to all if something bad was occurring specifically there. But if it’s a values judgement, then that kind of also needs addressed because I have a very different understanding of sexual mores. I’d like to know if I should be reconsidering that position or if we need to have a deeper discussion about why that comment is being made lol. I don’t feel it helps to pass those types of judgements along in critiques when we could focus on more concrete wrongdoing or elaboration on practices.
Yea I’ll admit I haven’t looked into what the situation was, but that’s a very good point, if it’s literally just judging their sexual preferences that’s fucked up
