Today marks my first day on lemmy after leaving Reddit after 3 years, I already like the platform I just wish their was a mobile app, and wish the mobile web support was a bit more polished but i understand it’s still in it’s earlier stages

I didn’t get banned because of up-voting, but something else happened. I posted something about being vigilant about Microsoft being friendly towards linux since they had a history of “Embrace Extend Extinguish” and “Halloween Papers” without resorting to any words or actions promoting violence towards them, but the reddit moderators warned me I would be banned if I continued posting such opinions.

Just recently I posted another un-related posting asking a question about how to configure a bridge/tap for Qemu and my posting got entirely deleted without explaining to me why.

So yes, I’m feeling censored quite a bit with reddit. I just want to participate, discuss, express in a non-violent peaceful means. I do hope lemmy.ml is more welcoming and less moderated/censored.

      Thank you for listening.

The votes aren’t private? Probaly without any encryption, but private.

This is very awful. So the reports are not private too? Lemmy works is the same way?
