This study is a study done in a lab, excluding variables like the ground, climate etc. I also never said to you that x is more efficient, I said you still need water + farmland.
You cannot replace everything against xyz, the ground and weather conditions are in every country different. In Japan, you can grow rice very easily because there is plenty of water, good luck doing this in Texas.

I tend to agree, that banning cars won’t happen. Until cars are banned from certain parts of the city center. Until they are banned from larger parts of the city and certain other streets that are just pedestrian and for bikes. Until then they are banned from mostly all of the city and are just used where needed in rural areas.
We are at step 1, many cities in Europe have areas in city centers where personal cars can’t go.
