Imagine being a cute little ocean abomination when a freaky two legged monster come and and rudely yanks you out of your carefully selected sand home with a weird pinchy stick.

Yes, there are a lot of cute little creatures, which can kill you in minutes or at least screw your life up for weeks. Some of the little cute ones, the bigger ones apart.

I found an article from 2019-08-29 with this same video claiming that the thing is unknown to science, tried to chew off a tourist’s foot, and that the incident is hushed by government.

As far as I am concerned everything screams that this is horsecrabshit and the video is fake. There is a small chance that the video is not fake but the article is.

With how big it is and that it’s pretty much limp, i kind of think its some kind of prop maybe?

Looking at it more, it looks like possibly a partially dissected squid.

I don’t know and I don’t want to know it stepping on it. I found this article in a russian website

      Translation:

A shocking video of an unknown creature living in the sand on one of the popular beaches near Vladivostok fell into the hands of independent experts. The inconspicuous white tube in the sand did not cause concern until the incident, which, according to eyewitnesses, occurred with a tourist from Asia.

“As we found out through our channels, the creature almost grabbed the Chinese man’s leg at the ankle when he unsuccessfully stepped on the “tube”,” an independent researcher from Vladivostok shares with us, “they tried to hide the incident in order to prevent panic, now we can assume “that the swimming season will be officially closed this year” The video of the creature being removed from the sand was obtained by independent researchers from an anonymous source in “science” and quickly became available to the networks, with comments from experts and recommendations to refrain from walking on the sand.

“Right powerful jaws are hidden in the sand around the “pipe”, working on the principle of a trap. The 3-meter tail, buried deep in the sand, does not allow the victim to escape,” the expert explained.

Anyway, there are still a lot of unknown creatures in the seas and not all are friendly, because of this I prefer to relax in Woods and Montains.

No it doesn’t. Horseshoe crabs aren’t soft, and they definitely dont have tentacles. Also they are not even close to the same shape as that thing

??? File Coffee is not a “web page” it is a file sharer/host from the EU (Netherland) that I use instead of Imgur, because Imgur counts your activities to half of the internet companies (see) and this one does not (GDPR). You can open the Video (webm) right here, by clicking on the triangle in the box, or open it separately, by clicking on the thread title, exact the same as with this Imgur crap (I don’t know why Lemmy Bot doesn’t correct it, like it does with YT, because Imgur, which many still use here, is much worse than YT, little less than spyware)

If you see this message (Open in Browser), I would recommend checking your PC with an AV, in case you have a Browser Hijacker that redirects you (XXX?)

Does anyone know what that grabber device is? I like to use grabbers to pick up chestnuts, but the ones I have are pretty flimsy. This thing looks like a beast in comparison.

There are some beefy options on Amazon. Mine looks similar to this but it was also three times as much as the flimsey ones.
