    I’m neither optimistic nor pessimistic - I’m trying to be realistic.

    Questions to ask yourself to understand whether this is reasonable or not:

    • Through what means is this company allegedly gaining microphone access to your device?
    • Which device is it?
    • Would the company controlling the software running on this device have incentives to allow this random company microphone access?
    • How is this random company managing to beat state-of-the-art voice recognition? Try using stuff like Google Assistant, even when speaking clearly and directly to the device running it, it still is not particularly good at accurately comprehending speech.

    All of these questions should be answered before these claims have any credibility to them.
