Took the authorities a while to figure out why several phone providers were experiencing connection issues in a neighborhood.

Turns out the guy had a wireless jammer in his apartment “to prevent others from using his wifi”. Armed and face-covered police swept through the entire building and (apparently, though not explicitly said) kicked his door while he was away, to turn off the device.

He risks 6 months jail time and 30 000€ fine.

      if your router is supported by openwrt and you know a little IT sure, but this person either knows nothing about tech or found a pretty decent argument for this clever act of sabotage ;)

    I think it’s more likely he would have made up “to prevent others from using my wifi" as a poor excuse on the spot. I’d imagine he enabled the jammer for the fuck of it.
