    I would argue these terms are a lot more gender neutral than they seem.

    • Man - 95% “Male”, but in this context it’s more gender neutral
    • Dude - 85%
    • Guy - 80%
    • Guys - 55%

        Yes but also no. It used to be and there are still vestigial parts of the English language where that’s the case.

        It is not the default in the sense that… well, based on reality, it isn’t

        But in the English language, which doesn’t necessarily have to follow reality, it sadly is. We can only do our best to change it.
