As someone of Polish and Ukrainian descent

My great great grandmother was Ukrainian and Ancestry said I’m 2% Polish.

I may have been born in Kentucky, but my heart is in Kyiv!

One thing I cant deny about this invasion is that it put massive fuel on the fire that is Ukrainian nationalism and bourgeois nationalism more broadly in Europe. Ukraine is just the worst because, as we all know, their govt directly incorporates Nazi militias into the state forces. Not that the polish military is much different.

I find it interesting how no one has ever referred to Russians as Orcs before the war broke out. Nazi lexicon became apart of acceptable racial language in record time.

As someone from a Polish father and a Ukrainian mother, born in Poland, I’d like to say I don’t hate the Russians, making this person’s justification of “as someone of Polish and Ukrainian descent” for it invalid.

Bakhmut continues to be liberated rapidly as Wagner saves lives and ends suffering of civilians in Donbas who endured it for 8 years while biggest scum of humanity screeches about it on social media

Is the Wagner group even real? All I’ve heard about them is hearsay. Whereas the Nazis in Ukraine have been photographed and recorded extensively and generally aren’t even trying to hide, it seems like the Wagner group only exists to shut down conversations.

Like, if someone voices concern about Ukrainian Nazis someone will mention the Wagner group and suddenly it’s an interfascist war, which means it’s ok to support Ukrainian Nazis still (?)

Or if someone is sympathetic to Russia, someone will bring up the Wagner group and now they’re a Nazi sympathizer. (this standard never gets applied the other way curiously)
